So, here I am---a year later and I'm battling the same infectious plague as last year! (Case of the terrible sinus infections.)
I get these about once a year and it's quite a tragic infection to upkeep. Amongst the duties of caring for a sinus infection include: green mucus slime, stuff, congested headaches, fevers, body aches and cramps...
Basically, my head is a cloud of a mess and I can't think straight.
Last Friday I had to go to a walk through at a job site, and I took my puppy with me since he is in the process of being potty trained. While carrying my new iPad, cell phone, keys, papers for the project manager--my puppy decided to dart out of my car and straight into busy street traffic. I freaked out, of course, and tried my best to chase after him, but the boots I was wearing had absolutely no friction with the black asphalt. Naturally, I ate concrete and fell on my left elbow and both my knees. BUSTED. (Oh, and my iPad took a fall as well. Minor abrasions and some blood stains. Eek.)
I tore both my leggings and the cardigan I was wearing and did my best to look as graceful as possible getting back up to my feet. My puppy, in anguish (THANKFULLY) ran right to me when he saw me fall. (Good puppy.)
I couldn't even get myself to look at my elbows until 40 minutes later after the job walk was over. The cardigan (a lacy black one) had basically glued onto the blood on my elbows. Three days later (today)---I've still got black, purple, blue knees. Oh, and a sinus infection top of that. It literally feels like I've been in a car accident and am enduring the worst whiplash of my life! Ah well. Keep on truckin'!
Here are a few photos of the last few days. (Sorry I haven't been posting much--for some reason Xanga photo uploads weren't working for the past couple of weeks!)

Daniel and I at a good friends baby shower. We played a game with how big we thought the circumference of her belly was using ribbon. We were both off by way too many feet!

Homemad boiling crab! I found a recipe online and tweaked it and it was LEGIT. The key: butter. LOTS and LOTS of it. ;)

Homebaked Macarons. Now, THIS was a hard one to nail down. To get the little "feet" on the edges of the macarons were really tough. I got it on the second try, though, and they were DELICIOUS. I'm never spending $2 for one of these puppies EVER AGAIN! (Flavors: Almond and a vanilla center)

St. Patty's Day cupcakes. Duh!
Alright, guys. Time to get back to work and give my body a rest. Hope you all have a bayootiful week!
